Year 12 students took part in a Love Not Landfill project, which culminated in a school wide clothes swap yesterday. ReLondon is a partnership of the Mayor of London and London Borough's to improve waste and resource management in the Capital. ReLondon's Love Not Landfill campaign encourages London's young fast fashion fans aged 16-24 to buy second-hand instead of new and to swap, resell, share and repair their clothes.
The Deputy Mayor of London for Environment and Energy Mete Coban visited William Perkin to support the event and raise awareness. He spoke to our Year 12s about the initiatives he has planned and was keen to hear our students views and ideas when it comes to tackling sustainability.
